Tobacco processed with SORBITOL gives mild aromatic fames when smoked and does not develop acrolein which may be the case when glycerin is used as humectants.SORBITOL being non volatile, the tobacco aroma is preserved.

SORBITOL is used as softening agent to ensure better processing of fibres.used in textile printing pastes and textile finishes.When SORBITOL is used. it give sharp outline , better colour yields and lester.
PAPER INDUSTRY
SORBITOL increases the flexibility of paper, thus folding value is higher while the length of rupture and elongation does not change abnormally.
